In this unit we learned about the different parts of speech and the many ways they are categorized.I learned a great deal on the many technical terms for parts of speech. I feel like this lesson really helped improve my understanding of how each part of speech works in a sentence. For example, I currently teach at a junior high school and I have been asked about the differences in using articles a, an and the. This unit has given me a clearer understanding of articles and how to explain them. I also was able to refresh my memory on the definitions of each part of speech. I feel that a better understanding of the material in this lesson will help me greatly in improving my explanations of grammar points to students.
