In my teaching career I try to use a variety of different teaching aids to motivate the students and make the lessons more interesting. It's very good to use the visual aids with the beginners. Kids like colorful flashcards. When they see pictures they can learn new words more quickly. Printable worksheets like puzzles and crosswords are very good for using at the study stage. Online sources like Youtube give a good opportunity for listening to the audios, watching videos and discussing them afterwards. With older students we try to watch more videos and practice listening & speaking activities.
