Whilst the last unit addressed the skills a learner uses to receive language, this unit focused on the skills that are utilized to output information in the student's target language. Productive skills are important but difficult to teach, because it is easier to understand that use the language itself. Therefore, it is important to foster a comfortable environment so students can develop their fluency AND their accuracy without fear of failure, through generation of interest and games.
