I learned about books and materials to use in preparing lessons. The differences between authentic and created materials was explained. Some examples of created materials were provided. The advantages and disadvantages of course books was analysed and how to best use them was explained. Some good ideas about how to be discerning about choosing a course book were discussed. I enjoyed this unit as balanced views were given and I gained a good idea on how to prepare a lesson using my own creativity and standard books.
