This unit provided an broad review of the parts of speech in the English language, including nouns, adjectives, articles (definite and indefinite), verbs (transitive, intransitive,infinitive, and, auxiliary), adverbs, gerunds, pronouns (including the common confusion between possessive pronouns and possessive adjectives, prepositions, and conjunctions. This unit served as a refresher for me on terms I commonly employ in the classroom, so now I have a clearer understanding which I can then pass on to my students.
