This unit was varied in content and provided good insights for monolingual and multilingual English classrooms, as well as teaching young learners and teaching business English. I was particularly interested by the insights in the business English section, especially the remarks on workplace culture and the potential conditions under which the students will be learning (tired, overworked and busy). It seemed like a compassionate and accurate analysis. The part that struck me as most important and helpful was the needs assessment. I wish that I had experienced that level of responsiveness from any language teacher I had previously studied under, and I'm excited to incorporate it into my career.
