The way a teacher acts directly influences the students and their ability to learn. In the first video, the teacher in unempathetic and rushing causing the students to be warry about engaging fully with the material. There were times when the instructor seemed to be annoyed with the students and just wanted to move on. His lack of explanations meant the students spent more time learning how to do the lesson and not learning the material in the lesson. With the second lesson, the teacher was much high energy and patient; this patience led to more explanations, one on one drilling, and more time learning. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to make sure I am prepared to present a lesson that students will want to engage with and learn. This would mean learning names, understanding their skill level, going slow, explaining, and making sure learning is happening.
