Unit Five focused on classroom management by discussing methods of organizing and managing the class in a friendly relaxed manner, while maintaining discipline.
It is interesting to learn the importance of sitting or standing, and how this simple act can influence the entire room. The use of eye contact and gesture for discipline as well as conveying information is another skill. Changing the seating arrangements can also prevent problem behavior. This unit brought back specific memories of how teachers handled discipline in my own childhood classrooms.
