This unit is understanding pronunciation and phonology. It was a difficult section as I have not had to break down how I pronounce and use phonetics for a long time. It helped me to understand the problems that students learning a new language would have including myself with learning to speak Japanese. Transcribing the sentences from the phonetic to English was both challenging and fun. I felt like I was reading Olde English!
