Unit 20 provided useful advice for dealing with various adverse classroom situations. Included were techniques on building rapport with a new class, coaxing reluctant students, teaching very large classes, and limiting use of mother tongue amongst students. All of this was very useful but the advice on rapport building was especially so. As rapport is so vital to any human interaction the simple techniques presented here will be of great value in the future.
