This unit covered the basics of lesson planning. The need for balance between over and underplanning was expressed, as was the need to be flexible and capable of deviating from the lesson plan if it seems necessary. The unit addressed preparing for a lesson by getting all necessary components in order, arranging the room and greeting the students, as well as what to include in the lesson plan, particular challenges for planning a sequence of lessons, and finally, self-evaluations after a lesson.
