This unit focused on past tense and zoned in on past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous tenses. There were clear distinctions on how each was to be used and examples supporting each. As I continue to learn tense, I grow to understand how complex it can be especially for a native speaker for whom it may seem more natural. I did find it a little chanllenging but after reading and rereading and then reading again, I think it is a little clearer. I trust that moving forward I will be able to put all I’ve learnt into perspective especially when the language is in use. All this time I had been speaking English , not knowing it was so diverse in nature and structure.
