This unit was about teaching techniques. Specifically teaching techniques for introducing new language. It reminded me of the importance of including an engage phase in my lessons. I think I have a good grasp of study and activate phases and those generally go fairly well in my classes. However, the engage phase is still difficult for me, especially with some of my classes where the students are less motivated. I will try to make sure I include engage phases in every class, even when it is a struggle to get reactions from my students.
