For this course, it was definitely a challenge trying to get the hand of the phonetic chart and understanding why certain words are pronounced the way that they are. In every day life, we don't focus on breaking down every syllable, we often just say the word as a whole. Being aware of how each sentence is said using different tones, also made me focus on the way I said things during this chapter.
