This unit helped us learn the many teaching aids available to us in most classrooms and schools as well as possible helpful equipment that may be at our disposal. It is important to be aware of all options but also to use them when appropriate. Using aids are helpful but we as teachers should not be completely dependent on them. Aids and equipment should be thought of as a catalyst to help students better understand the information we are already providing to them. Aids are meant to help students better understand language use and application but not to cause them to rely on them.
