This unit is about coursebooks and lesson materials. There are two types of materials: authentic materials and created materials. Each type has its advantages: Authentic materials can help students gain confidence and they are usually more motivating, whereas created materials can be graded to the level of the students. Coursebooks are also a great resource to help a teacher plan a lesson, and they usually include their own material, which can be very useful.
