In this unit I learned about grammar, in this case about modals who are: can, could, may, might, sall,should, will, would, must, have to, have got to, need to, needn´t to and ought to. Modals can be used to express a number of different ideas like an obligation, possibility, permission, ability and advice. Modal verbs are followed by a a verb in the base form. Passive Voice.- There are two voices used in English: the active and the passive, the form for the passive is: Auxiliary verb "be" + past participle, in the pasive voice the tense is indicated by the auxiliary verb "be" and in the active voice, the tense is shown by the main verb. Relative Clauses.- A relative clause is introduced by a relative pronoun: who, wich, that, whose, whom. Exist two types of relative clauses: Defining and non-defining. Phrasal verbs: Or multi-word verbs Exist 3 basic types of phrasal verbs: Type 1- Intransitive.- Can not followed by a direct object; Type 2 - Transitive Separable.- 2 Phasal verbs; Type 3.- Transitive inseparable.
