This unit was helpful for me to imagine the potential problems I may face in a classroom. Without this unit, I would be so excited to create the perfect first lesson, full of activities for learning, when I should really be focusing on creating a positive learning environment and getting to know the kids. Also, being knowledgeable in areas such as teaching very large groups can come in very useful if I ever happen to be in that situation. I would have appreciated a little more information about listening texts.
