This unit dealt with the future tenses used in English. Future tenses can have 7 common tenses that are used to express the future, including: future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, present simple, present continuous and "going to" future. Because there are 7 common usages to express the future tense, including some present tense forms, it can be more challenging for students to learn as opposed to the present and past tenses. However, each future tense has basic grammatical structures and rules for usage that can be taught to students to help them differentiate which future form is appropriate.
