This unit deals with the course material that a teacher uses in classroom teaching. A primary teaching aid is a course book which has its distinct advantages and disadvantages. A teacher has to use his experience to adhere fully or partially to a course book syllabus in order to make the class interesting and less predictable or monotonous. In addition, teachers can use authentic and/or created material to augment teaching lessons. The unit gives a lot of examples of flashcards, role play cards, crosswords and word search materials. These ideas can be very effectively used by teachers to make their classes interesting for the students.
