There are some wonderful ideas in this unit for helping to organize and run a classroom. There are likely to be a variety of different situation and it is good to have a plan of how to solve some common problems. For example, when teaching a small class with a variety of learning levels, it can be difficult to know how to proceed and help each student feel satisfied with what they are learning. It is a great idea to either divide the classroom into two different groups, or to pair stronger students with weaker ones to help everyone have an equal experience. I have found in my own classrooms that it is often helpful for weaker students to have the opportunity to work with stronger English speakers because it gives them a chance to hear their peers use English. It seems to build confidence. Students are often happy to help each other.
