Without any doubt the most difficult unit so far. A lot of theory is given regarding the phonetics and pronunciation, thought it might be hard to assimilate I consier it extremely important for a teacher. I also consider the pronunciation part of learning is essential. I speak fluently Engish and Spanish and I have always been training myself - my ear and articulation - to be able to sound as natural as possible. From my childhood I remember our English teacher giving us those little mirrors so we could see how we move our lips and tongue when saying words. I think it gave a huge base. Nowadays I don´t see a tendency to work with mirrors with students. My favorite way to train the pronunciation is drilling during 5-10 minutes and tongue-twisters, of course. The curious part of the unit for me personally was the Intonation section. There is definetely something new to try in class.
