This unit on focussed on ways to teach productive skills. Many of them had to do with encouraging language production in the first place. It showed the need to create motivation for production in the first place, by teaching grammar and vocabulary relevant to the students. Also by having them speak and write on subjects that are of interest to them. It also showed the need for creating a relaxed atmosphere that could put the students at ease, allowing them to open up. Alleviating such anxiety is especially important in speaking.
