This unit was short, yet turned out to be crucial for an understanding of how to be an effective teacher. Something that I have never even heard about before was the different areas of reading and learning skills that people may possess. I was able to connect with the fact that I excel in reading for detailed information while I lack in the skimming department. That realization for myself will stick with me and ensure that I pick a variety of different reading materials for my students to use.
