This unit focuses on the various aspects of classroom management. Delivering instructions, balancing Teacher Talk Time and Student Talk Time, maintaining discipline, and building a good classroom rapport are all covered. I thought the strategies for boosting student talk time seemed especially useful. I teach adult students in Korea, and often class sizes are quite small and students can be very shy and reluctant to speak English. Hopefully some of the strategies mentioned in this unit will prove helpful.
