In this unit I have learnt that we all use a lot more skills in reading and listening than we may subconsciously realise. For a native speaking adult these skills come naturally. By incorporating and teaching the different skills used for reading and listening in my classes I will be able to teach student's to digest information they are requiring depending on whether its for a purpose or entrainment and thus making it easier.quicker and more productive. This unit also highlights the importance of engaging students and getting to know your students interests is very important in making the planning of classes as stimulating as possible.
