This unit gives some good suggestions for how to prepare before starting a class. I really appreciate the recommendations to new teachers about not getting stuck in the habits of being rigid and inflexible. Working with students regardless of age is still working with people and people are unpredictable. I also really appreciate the addition of startup materials as well as the demo lesson plan. I feel that this lesson and creating a lesson plan is a very visual thing to learn and understand.
