The content in Unit 2 (Parts of Speech) was akin to an "Owner's Manual" of the English language. It went into great detail on the mechanics of each how the components work to form speech and written content. Initially, it can seem a bit daunting to delve into the details of grammar, but it is inevitable in my endeavor to obtain the TEFL certification. If I am not firmly grounded or well-versed with the rules of English grammar, how can I expect to be taken seriously by my pupils? This was an extremely beneficial and well-written Unit, and now I feel much more confident to answer any questions thrown at me when it comes to English grammar.
