I liked seeing the two lessons side by side. In the first lesson, the teacher doesn't seem to take into account the students, and I know that I have fallen into this trap before (especially with the "it's easy" statements). And, when the students aren't engaged, he does not try to change things up and interest them more. The second lesson, though, caused laughs and commentary from the students, and the teacher fed off of their engagement, just as they fed off of his enthusiasm. The lesson was also a really nice combination of information and communication.
