Unit Six focused on the usage of the past tense, and all the implications it had. There was past simple, which stayed true to its name, keeping the subject and action in a past time, ie. "I played yesterday." Past continuous is similar to past simple, however it focuses more on the act itself, and the way it is being done, ie. "Yesterday, I was playing." Past perfect was a slightly different take on past simple, making it slightly more complicated, yet more specific, thus better for more detail in the sentence, ie. "I was tired because i was playing yesterday." Finally, we're left with past continuous, which does the same thing as past perfect, but is used in the place of past continuous, ie. "When my friend arrived, I had been playing for a while." I found the content to be useful, as I have not consciously used these tenses in everyday life, and I feel it is a good refresher for me, and it would help me better communicate this lesson to a class.
