In this module I have learnt about the pros and cons of using course books and when it is appropriate to create your own material for lessons. I have found it really useful to see the examples of the types of created materials you can use. I have learnt that you shouldn't use just course books alone as it is very uninteresting for the students, and there may be some areas of learning that need extra practise and the sufficient materials may not be provided in the course books. I have also learnt about the importance of using authentic materials as it helps to boost students confidence when they can understand them.
