This unit covered the past tense, how and why it's used, and how to identify it. The forms covered were past simple, past perfect, past continuous, and past perfect continuous. I found it interesting to see how the past perfect continuous form is rarely used in English, which made sense because the example sentences for it seemed to feel a bit awkward to me. I was also glad to see that I was definitely getting a better grasp of the forms after the previous unit on the present tense. However, I can still appreciate how this could be confusing to explain to students without an even more comfortable grasp of it.
