Unit 14 deals with coursebooks and lesson materials. It distinguishes between two types of materials: authentic and creative, and list advantages and disadvantages of both. It also provides a few sample creative materials, such as flash cards and cards for telephone role-plays. The end of the unit is dedicated to listing advantages and disadvantages of coursebooks and tips about how to choose a good coursebook and how to work with it and even improve it (omit, adapt, replace and supplement).
