This unit covered teaching special groups, providing some insight into what needs to be taken into account when teaching different types of classes/students. This was an interesting one because I generally think about lessons in all of the cases *except* teaching business English, so it was good to know more about that type of teaching. I had also primarily thought of teaching English to a group of students who all share the same primary language, so I was likewise interested in seeing and thinking about the advantages and disadvantages of those classes versus ones where students actually have a variety of primary languages, and so only have the English language in common. I am primarily interested in teaching English to non-adults in a country where English isn't the primary language, but this helped open my eyes to other potential situations/opportunities that could come down the road.
