Just like the section on the present tense, this section describes the four aspects of the past tense: past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. The helpful aspect of this lesson for me is essentially learning the names for these aspects and gaining a better understanding of how to identify them. As grammar can be difficult to learn in any language as well as teaching, this lesson helps provide me with a more solid foundation of how to approach explaining these concepts as well as what mistakes usually occur for students learning the past tense.
