This unit described the equal importance of both speaking and writing skills, skills in which are classified as productive. From what I understand, "productive" in this scenario are skill sets that result in tangible product; like words spoken and written. The unit also talked about the difference between accuracy and fluency, both in which are important in learning English, and are found in different phases of the process - not necessarily in competition with each other. Equally important, accuracy relates to how correct a student's understanding is, while fluency shows how easily a student communicates.
