This unit provides a basic understanding of what a teacher must offer his or her learners, as well as what a teacher should look for and encourage in those learners. The unit starts by outlining what it takes to be a good teacher, the roles the teacher must play, and how to alternate between these roles. The second half of the unit outlines the behaviors learners are likely to exhibit and describes various strategies to encourage positive behaviors in the learners.
