My biggest takeaway from this unit was that there is indeed a difference between receptive and productive skills. I realize more and more as I go through these units that there is a lot that I have taken for granted in terms of grammar, language, and teachable moments. This unit was no exception. Not only was I reminded about how reading and listening skills are equally important, I also learned how to best engage students in topics beyond grammar rules.
