Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

This unit describes receptive and productive skills and their equal importance in language acquisition. Receptive skills can be broken into two main components: reading and listening. These can be further broken down into the manner in which either is employed. Scanning, predicting, pleasure, purpose, etc... Productive skills can be broken into two components too: writing and speaking. Similarly, each can be employed in various ways. Given the nuances vocabulary and grammar introduce to language and combining this with individual ability within any given social environment to both receive and produce the language, the unit seems to suggest, fluency is slightly preferred to accuracy. This makes sense, I think. When the variables can be so varied effective communication will strain the ability of someone whose language skills relied heavily on the mechanics. A decent grasp of social context and cultural touchstones comes only with fluency. A good understanding of receptive and productive language skills are therefore key.
