The last unit of this course focused on troubleshooting in the classroom. It dealt with the challenges of the first lesson with either a new group or an already existing group. It provided me with information and tips on how to start the first lesson, what activities to do and how to find out the English level of the students. Moreover, it also focused on issues concerning different levels within a class, what to do in large classes, how to avoid problems with students using their native language, how to deal with reluctant students and also with the quicker ones. All in all, the unit, as well as the whole course, has been very informative, practical and it has helped me not only to recap English grammar, but it has also provided me with tips and ideas I can use in the classroom.
