This unit is based on common problems that teacher face in the classroom and methods to deal with them. First lessons = this is a common problem faced by almost all the teachers. These classes are very crucial for teacher with respect to developing rapport with the students and also understanding their level of English and their needs. There are different activities to perform in the class to make the students feel comfortable and also get them motivated, like questionnaire, 'tell us about' game,pass the ball, and need analysis can be very helpful. Warmer :- these exercises help teacher to create a environment in the class before actual teaching. activities like hangman, tongue twister, pictionary, and some memory games. Different level :- sometimes teacher gets confused while coping with the different levels of students in the class. for some students few exercise are very easy and for some it is difficult so the teacher has to maintain the balance between them. Teachers can keep some extra activities handy for the fast learners so that those students doesn't feel board in the class. Large classes :- it becomes quite difficult for the teachers to deal with large classes with respect to classroom management and discipline in the class. there are many activities teacher can adapt to make the class run smoothly. use of worksheets for all the student participation, clarity in voice and board work, making groups or pair-work, diversity in the class in ideas and also in understanding level. use of native language in the class can be a problem in monolingual class as students can take advantage of their language and sometimes when the instructions are not very much clear and also to help other students. To make sure least usage of native language teachers has to make the instruction clear and easy to understand.the activities should be appropriate to the student level. Difficulties with listening text:-it a very common problem linked with the receptive skill . teachers need to work on students listening skill by doing various activities in the class like cassette playing, reading text aloud in the class, conversation lessons.
