I found this unit to be very useful in knowing how to cater more to the students. Choosing topics that the students are interested in will greatly improve the chances of the students being interested in learning more about it. If we choose topics that only we are interested in, then we risk losing the student's interest in the lesson. I also learned how important it is to choose non-authentic texts over authentic texts so that the students can use what they already know and build from there. Doing this will lower the chances of the students being overwhelmed and will motivate them to learn more.
