This unit was very informative and enjoyable to study. I am very interested in the practical applications, like desk arrangements, that optimize student engagement in the classroom. When I was a student, I remember how the teacher's posture or the amount of student participation influenced my learning. I understand more clearly now how teaching is an art and a science - it requires such attention to detail and sensitivity to students on top of conveying the language precisely and comprehensibly. More particularly, this unit helped me to grasp the importance of student interaction and how to implement paired and group work.
