In this unit, I thought explaining the difficulties that beginner to intermediate students face when encountering writing/spelling/pronouncing that they are unfamiliar with. For those of us who have not spent much time outside of our native countries, it may be confusing why different countries have trouble with certain sounds, until we learn that they don't use an alphabet and that their language doesn't use the sound that we've encountered. I appreciated the clarity provided between fluency and accuracy, as it is something that I'd been curious about and that will allow me to better organize my marking schemes in the future.
