The unit is a guide for appropriate use of teaching materials as well as what types of materials are best and how to adapt guided course books. There is clearly a need to understand what you want to teach so that the materials are updated and adapted since older course books may not appeal to new students depending on how old the books are. Teachers must be aware of how and why certain material whether authentic or created are good for use in classrooms. This unit taught me that I can be creative in how I impart the knowledge since use of materials are important to the learner.
