I was one of the few students in my high school age that was taught how to diagram sentences. This actually helped to have the parts of speech ingrained in me. That said, reviewing this brief overview, I (re-)learned certain things that I don't recall having been stated expressly such as the word order for adjectives or the placement order for adverbs. On the latter, I hope we will revisit because I feel there is more flexibility than was mentioned here - at least in colloquial language - and I want to confirm which is proper grammar. E.g. "He ate his lunch quickly" vs "He quickly ate his lunch."
