As an English major, I had never really studied any techniques used in teaching, though I'm clearly familiar with them as they have been used in my previous classroom experiences. I've learned that there are numerous ways to engage and teach students looking to learn a foreign language and that some of these techniques are more successful than others. While games and fun activities may be great for all levels of learning, it is interesting and important to know that more advanced learners may need more thought provoking and detailed methods to prosper.
