The most common forms and usages for the future tense verbs are given in this unit. These include: Future Simple, Future Perfect, Future Continuous, Future Perfect Continuous, Present Simple, "Be going infinitive" and present continuous. The Simple, Perfect, Continuous and Perfect Continuous are the same structure found in other tenses, except that the word will is added before verb, 'be' verb, or have. It is important to distinguish the differences between Future Continuous and Future Perfect Continuous. Future Continuous (I will be walking...) is used to describe an action that is completed by a certain time in the future. However, Future PERFECT Continuous (I will have been walking...) is used when describing an action that is currently happening at the future time but has been going on already for X amount of time. In the Future Perfect Continuous form, the action being described is still occurring at that future time. This is a subtle difference, so it must be clearly explained to the foreign language learner.
