This unit provided content on Course Books and Lesson Materials. It provided information about advantages and disadvantages to course books and lesson materials. It can be good for a new teacher to have a course book that is already tried and tested. It can provide a sense of security for students and teachers, but it can also become a crutch that can develop into boredom for students. There is also the possibility of materials or course books not being relevant to the students in the class room and so things will need to be replaced, omitted, supplemented, or adapted.
