This unit helped me recognize that there is more than just the natural gift of "teacher presence" to manage a classroom. Especially in a classroom that's full of ELLs, there are so many factors to acknowledge and consider. From posture, to response, to addressing students individually, the teacher must in fact wear more than one hat other than just being an educator. This has given me more insight on how to utilize commonsense, as well as unique methodology, to produce a healthy learning environment.
